A Brief History of Innovox Audio:
Innovox Audio was started by Chris Oswood in the 1990’s in his garage in Minneapolis. Chris would never brag, but he’s an immensely talented engineer and after working in audio-visual design and integration, he saw (and heard) how bad the audio system performance was in so many locations he was working in. He felt that so many public settings where audio quality mattered, were woefully poor when it came to clear, representation of speech and musical detail. So he set out to engineer a new era in loudspeakers; ones that were designed to maximize performance for speech.

Innovox loudspeaker systems have been installed into hundreds of locations around the world when acoustic requirements for a space are of utmost importance. Are Innovox Audio Loudspeaker Systems for consumer(home) or commercial use?
Our audio systems are primarily designed for the commercial market.

I’m an integrator/installer, does Innovox supply mounting hardware for their speakers?
Yes, we do.
Why are Innovox loudspeakers better for speech clarity?
We have spent decades researching, developing and building our systems to maximize speech clarity. We design our own high and low frequency pass filters and mid-range drivers to meet specs based on our research for speech clarity. We search out and choose drivers, (tweeters, mid-range and woofers) with the most quick, accurate transient response, and we program our DSP’s that fine tune the signal profile for clarity.
Are Innovox loudspeakers only good for speech clarity, or will they work for music and program audio as well?
Innovox loudspeakers are unmatched for their musical performance. Because we use the best industry tested materials, drivers and amp technology, our sound systems offer precise, superior detail and response for music.
Do Innovox amplifiers have on board DSP?
Our Architectural series, HLA series, Flex Array1, Flex Array2 and Flex Synergy have state of the art Powersoft DSP’s. Our Flex Focus, Flex Precision and Flex Compact do not.
Are Innovox amplifiers programmed for the acoustic envelope of my project?
Yes, all our amps (with onboard DSP) are programmed here at the factory to meet your project’s specs.
Why are Flex video conferencing systems better than traditional speakers in the ceiling of a conference room?
We call it Cognitive Load. Cognitive Load describes what happens when the brain has to filter out more of the environment to understand the message. When sight and sound are not in sync, the resulting confusion blunts the impact of the message. This is why we choose Co-Location in the design of our conferencing systems. In Co-Location: sight and sound sources originate from the same location. You don’t look up at the ceiling when someone is speaking – you look at them.
Will Innovox Flex systems for displays match the width of any display?
We’ve made Flex video conferencing systems thirty feet long. And our Flex Array1 & 2 video wall systems are built to any height of your video wall.
Are Innovox loudspeakers made for permanent mount, or portable?
Permanent.

Can I get Hybrid Line Array, Architectural and Subwoofer Series loudspeakers in any custom color I want?
Yes.
Are Innovox loudspeakers made in the USA?
Yes, in St Paul, Minnesota.
What are Innovox loudspeaker cabinets made of?
Our Architectural series loudspeakers, (CLA, HLA) and Subwoofer series, (DLFC, SCS, SLF, SBA, Microsub, SB) are made from Baltic Birch and MDF. Our SL, SLA, MLA, and AE series are enclosed in a steel chassis. Flex Array1, Flex Array2 and Flex Synergy series are enclosed with a new product called Richlite, (a high-quality compressed composite). Flex Focus, Flex Precision and Flex Compact are enclosed with ABS.
