The DLF Series implements techniques originally developed for directional radio transmitting antennas. Drivers are oriented with a vertical spacing which defines an octave wide controlled coverage band, below which the loudspeaker behaves as a conventional LF system. Steering of the LF lobe can be achieved by applying a signal delay to the lower driver.

A system combining DLF dipoles and ribbon-based CLA, SLA and ULA Series loudspeakers, delivers high impact, full-range reinforcement to the audience in a compact form.

The DLF-206 is a compact dipole loudspeaker designed to augment the mid-bass performance of CLA Series line arrays in a biamplified or triamplified configuration.

It features two 6.5” drivers in separate sealed enclosures spaced to take advantage of the dipole cancellation effect in the 150 Hz to 325 Hz frequency range.  Below this range, the loudspeaker behaves as a conventional low-frequency system.  Its dipole behavior extends the vertical pattern control of CLA Series line array loudspeakers more than an octave and allows for increased system SPL.

The DLF-406 is a compact dipole loudspeaker designed to augment the mid-bass performance of CLA Series line arrays in a biamplified or triamplified configuration.

It features four 6.5” drivers in separate sealed enclosures spaced to take advantage of the dipole cancellation effect in the 150 Hz to 325 Hz frequency range.  Below this range, the loudspeaker behaves as a conventional low-frequency system.  Its dipole behavior extends the vertical pattern control of CLA Series line array loudspeakers more than an octave and allows for increased system SPL.
